Job Description

Responsibilities:

Package Pickup:

Collect packages, parcels, or goods from the designated pickup location, such as a warehouse or distribution center.

Delivery Route Planning:

Plan the most efficient route for delivering items based on location, traffic conditions, and time constraints.

Safe Transportation:

Drive safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Ensure that goods are securely loaded and properly secured in the vehicle to prevent damage during transit.

Timely Deliveries:

Deliver packages to the specified destination within the agreed-upon time frame. Follow delivery schedules and deadlines to meet customer expectations.

Customer Interaction:

Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner when delivering packages. Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required. Provide basic information about the delivered items and answer any questions or concerns.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform basic maintenance tasks on the delivery vehicle, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels. Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel for repair.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including delivery times, signatures, and any incidents or discrepancies. Complete delivery logs or paperwork as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Familiarity with local streets, routes, and traffic patterns. Good time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry packages of varying sizes and weights. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions:

Work is primarily performed outdoors, involving frequent driving and exposure to weather conditions. May involve lifting, bending, and carrying packages. Interaction with customers and occasional handling of customer inquiries or complaints.
Overall, a delivery boy job requires reliability, responsibility, and the ability to deliver goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
