Job Summary

The Surgical Instrument Delivery Boy is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and collection of surgical instruments, trays, and medical supplies within the hospital. This role supports operating rooms, wards, and sterile processing departments by ensuring that required instruments are delivered on time and handled according to hospital safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver surgical instruments, trays, and medical supplies to operating rooms, wards, and departments as required Collect used surgical instruments and transport them safely to the Scrubber for cleaning and sterilization Ensure proper handling of sterile and non-sterile items to prevent contamination Follow hospital infection control and safety protocols at all times Maintain delivery logs and obtain acknowledgements when required Assist Scrubber staff with loading, unloading, and organizing instrument sets Report damaged, missing, or contaminated instruments immediately Respond promptly to urgent or emergency delivery requests Keep delivery carts, trolleys, and storage areas clean and organized Support inventory movement and internal stock transfers Ability to walk and stand for long periods Ability to lift and carry instrument trays (as per safety guidelines)
