The Delivery Boy is responsible for delivering products, documents, or packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner. The role includes handling deliveries, maintaining delivery records, ensuring customer satisfaction, and following all safety and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Tasks
Pick up and deliver items to customers at various locations.
Ensure timely and accurate deliveries as per schedule.
Verify delivery information, such as address and contact details.
Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
Customer Service
Communicate politely and professionally with customers.
Handle customer queries and provide updates on delivery status.
Represent the company in a positive and courteous manner.
Vehicle & Safety
Safely operate the assigned vehicle (bike, scooter, van, or company vehicle).
Follow traffic rules and company safety policies at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.
Report any vehicle issues or delays immediately.
Documentation & Records
Maintain accurate delivery logs.
Check goods before delivery to ensure they are complete and undamaged.
Return undelivered items and report reasons promptly.
Qualifications & Skills
Valid driver's license for the required vehicle type.
Good knowledge of local routes and locations.
Punctual, reliable, and responsible.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and carry moderate-weight items.
Working Conditions
Mostly field-based work involving travel.
