Job Description

The Degree Commerce Lecturer will be responsible for teaching, guiding, and mentoring students in various subjects within the Commerce discipline. The role requires a strong theoretical and practical understanding of commercial principles, a commitment to academic excellence, and active involvement in departmental and institutional activities.

Teaching and Course Management



Instruction:

Deliver engaging and high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for diverse Commerce subjects. These may include, but are not limited to: Financial Accounting Corporate Accounting Business Management Financial Markets and Institutions Taxation (Direct and Indirect) Business Economics Auditing

Curriculum Delivery:

Effectively utilize the prescribed curriculum, preparing detailed lesson plans, and employing a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.

Assessment:

Design, administer, and grade examinations, assignments, projects, and case studies. Provide timely and constructive feedback to facilitate student improvement.

Supervision:

Guide final-year students on their academic projects and dissertations (where applicable).

B. Academic and Administrative Duties



Student Mentoring:

Serve as an academic advisor, offering guidance to students on course selection, academic performance, and career opportunities in commerce and finance.

Departmental Service:

Participate actively in department meetings, curriculum review committees, and assist in organizing academic events, workshops, and student activities (e.g., moot courts, business plan competitions).

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and grades, ensuring compliance with institutional policies.

C. Professional Development



Continuous Learning:

Engage in continuous professional development by attending faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars related to the field of Commerce and pedagogy.

Research/Consultancy:

(Optional/Desired): Pursue minor research projects, publish in relevant journals, or undertake consultancy work related to areas of expertise, contributing to the academic reputation of the department.

degree from a recognized university. A strong academic record is mandatory. (Note: A Ph.D., NET/SET qualification, or professional certifications like CA/CMA/CS is a significant advantage).

Experience

Minimum of

1-2 years of proven teaching experience

at the degree/higher education level. Freshers with exceptional academic records may be considered for entry-level roles.

Knowledge

Deep theoretical and practical knowledge in core areas of Commerce, such as

Accounting, Finance, and Management.Skills

Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in using relevant software (e.g., accounting software, spreadsheets) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
