Dean - School of Architecture
. The Dean will provide strategic direction, academic leadership, and operational oversight to establish the School as a hub of excellence in architectural education, research, and innovation. The role demands a dynamic leader with expertise in
Interior Design or Product Design
and a proven record of academic and administrative excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement a forward-looking vision for the School of Architecture.
Design innovative, industry-relevant curricula in Architecture, Interior Design, and Product Design.
Foster a culture of interdisciplinary learning, creativity, and sustainability.
Research & Innovation
Promote cutting-edge research, publications, and design-led projects in collaboration with industry and government bodies.
Encourage faculty and students to pursue grants, patents, and impactful research initiatives.
Faculty & Student Development
Recruit, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty members.
Inspire faculty to adopt modern pedagogical approaches and emerging technologies in design.
Provide guidance and career support to students, ensuring holistic growth and industry readiness.
Industry & International Collaboration
Forge strong linkages with leading architectural firms, product design companies, and research institutions.
Develop exchange programs, joint studios, and global partnerships with international universities.
Governance & Administration
Lead academic operations, budgeting, accreditation, and compliance with statutory requirements (COA/NAAC/UGC norms).
Drive quality assurance, benchmarking, and continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications & Experience
A
Ph.D./Master's degree in Architecture/Interior Design/Product Design
from a reputed institution.
Minimum
15 years of academic experience
, including at least 7 years in a leadership/administrative role (HOD/Associate Dean/Dean).
Strong track record in teaching, curriculum development, research, and academic administration.
Demonstrated leadership in establishing collaborations, research centres, or innovative programs.
Familiarity with
national and international accreditation standards
.
