Job Description

To achieve and maintain high placement rates, cultivate robust relationships with industry partners, and ensure students are well-prepared for professional careers through targeted training and counseling.

Key Responsibilities



1. Strategic Leadership & Vision



Strategy Development:

Formulating and executing the annual and long-term placement strategy, setting ambitious yet achievable targets (e.g., placement percentage, maximum and average salary).

Policy Making:

Establishing transparent and ethical placement policies, rules, and guidelines for students, faculty, and visiting companies.

Reporting:

Reporting to the Director/Vice-Chancellor on placement performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.

2. Industry Relationship Management



Networking & Outreach:

Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with domestic and international companies, HR leaders, and industry bodies across various sectors.

Corporate Engagement:

Initiating and securing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for internships, industry projects, student exchange programs, and faculty collaboration.

Brand Building:

Marketing the institution and its student talent pool to corporate partners, often through high-level industry interactions and conferences.

3. Placement Operations Management



Recruitment Coordination:

Overseeing the entire recruitment cycle, including scheduling Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs), coordinating interview processes, and managing offer acceptance logistics.

Resource Management:

Managing the Placement Office staff, resources, budget, and infrastructure (e.g., interview rooms, video conferencing facilities).

Data Management:

Maintaining a robust database of companies, alumni, student profiles, and placement statistics to drive data-informed decision-making.

4. Student Readiness & Training



Skill Gap Analysis:

Analyzing industry feedback and market trends to identify skill gaps in the curriculum and recommending necessary changes to academic departments.

Career Counseling:

Providing strategic career counseling to students, helping them align their skills and interests with suitable career paths.

Training & Development:

Designing and implementing mandatory training programs focused on essential employability skills like Communication, Group Discussions, Resume Writing, Personal Interviews, and aptitude tests.

Internship Focus:

Ensuring 100% student participation in quality internships and co-op experiences to boost final placement prospects.

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?150,000.00 per month
