The Dean of Pharmacy will provide strategic academic leadership, ensure high-quality teaching and research, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive the growth of the School of Pharmacy. The role involves overseeing all academic programs, faculty performance, accreditation, industry collaboration, and student development.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Academic Leadership
Provide vision, direction, and academic leadership for the School of Pharmacy.
Oversee curriculum development, revisions, and academic planning for B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, and Ph.D. programs.
Ensure implementation of outcome-based education (OBE) and NEP-2020 guidelines.
Lead accreditation and compliance with
PCI, UGC, NAAC, NBA
, and other regulatory bodies.
B. Research & Innovation
Promote high-impact research, publications, patents, consultancy, and funded projects.
Develop and nurture research clusters and centres of excellence in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Guide faculty and Ph.D. scholars in research orientation and quality.
C. Administration & Operations
Manage day-to-day academic operations including timetable, workload distribution, examinations, and academic audits.
Ensure adequate infrastructure, laboratories, equipment, chemicals, and safety compliance.
Oversee faculty recruitment, appraisal, mentoring, and professional development.
D. Student Development
Ensure high quality teaching, mentoring, internships, and experiential learning for students.
Improve student progression, placements, and overall academic excellence.
Address student grievances and create a supportive learning environment.
E. Industry & Academic Collaborations
Build partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, hospitals, and government bodies.
Facilitate MoUs, internships, industrial training, guest lectures, and collaborative research.
F. Quality Assurance
Lead internal quality systems, academic audits, and continuous improvement processes.
Ensure compliance with PCI norms regarding staff-student ratios, labs, equipment, and documentation.

4. Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Pharmacy is mandatory.
Minimum
10-15 years
of teaching and research experience in Pharmacy.

5 years of administrative experience
as HoD/Professor/Associate Dean/Dean.
Proven academic and research credentials with publications in indexed journals.
