The role of Professor/Dean of Computer Science will lead research and teaching activities in a period of growth both in terms of research activity in CS and in terms of student applications. This position provides the opportunity for an ambitious academic leader to take advantage of these successes and to position the department for the future. As Professor/Dean of Computer Science, the successful applicant will be supported by an academic team within Computer Science The majority of academic staff will undertake a balance of research and teaching and learning activities. Whilst ability and effectiveness should be demonstrated at an appropriate level in all areas, individuals may be more specifically focused on research, teaching and learning or external engagement.

Professor/Dean will have established and maintained international recognition through original, innovative and distinguished contributions to scholarship and research. We expect the successful candidate to have experience of leading teams and delivering on ambitious academic plans. A professorial academic profile or equivalent is desirable, but we would be pleased to receive applications that are clearly on a professorial track and that have the right level of experience and can demonstrate success.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

Responsible for leading, developing and implementing an innovative departmental strategy that is consistent with college Ensure that the department implements an effective programme of academic business development. Effectively manage and acquire appropriate departmental resources including recruitment and ensuring that staff reach their potential. Ensure that all staff in the department operate to the expected level of performance. Address under performance with the support of HR where necessary. To publish the outcomes of research, with a record of securing publications in internationally rated journals of high standing. Where teaching and learning is the main focus, to publish research disseminated in pedagogic or professional practice publications.

Qualifications and Skills:

A M.Tech/Ph.D. in Computer Science. Proven track record of scholarly publications and research contributions. Strong teaching abilities with experience in higher education. Proficiency in programming languages, software development, and relevant tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹115,000.00 per month
