Role Overview:

The

Dean - Computer Science

will provide strategic academic leadership to the School of Computer Science, overseeing its academic, research, and innovation initiatives. The role involves strengthening curriculum design, fostering faculty excellence, promoting interdisciplinary and industry collaborations, and enhancing student learning outcomes aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate academic planning, programme development, and quality assurance across all Computer Science departments. Drive research, consultancy, and innovation initiatives within computing and emerging technology domains. Establish strong industry-academia partnerships for curriculum enhancement, internships, placements, and applied research. Mentor and develop faculty to adopt innovative pedagogies and digital learning tools. Facilitate collaborations with national and international institutions for joint projects, exchange programmes, and global outreach. Ensure alignment of departmental goals with institutional strategic priorities, UGC/AICTE norms, and accreditation standards. Promote student engagement in research, hackathons, and entrepreneurship through the Incubation Centre and technical societies. Oversee administrative and academic operations of the School, including budgeting, resource management, and performance review.

Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D. in

Computer Science

,

Information Technology

, or a closely related discipline. Minimum

15 years of teaching and research experience

in reputed academic institutions, including

at least 5 years in an academic leadership position

(HoD / Dean / Associate Dean / Director). Proven record of publications in reputed journals, funded research projects, and academic leadership. Strong understanding of NEP 2020, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), NAAC, and NIRF frameworks. Demonstrated ability to build collaborations with industry and academic partners in India and abroad.

Desirable Attributes:

Visionary leadership and strategic planning capabilities. Expertise in emerging technology areas such as AI, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, or IoT. Excellent communication, team-building, and administrative skills. Commitment to empowering women through education and technology.
