7 to 10 Experience in Oil/Gas or Petrochemical Projects

Role: DCS/PLC Automation Engineer

Job Requirements:

i) Qualification: - Minimum Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or

equivalent.

ii) Experience: - Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering with substantial

experience in Automation discipline related detail design & engineering, concept

studies and FEED activities in Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Industries.

iii) Skills Required: - Knowledge in Microsoft Office Tools & software mentioned in

Job Knowledge.

iv) Fluency in English Communication is a must.

v) Chartership with an Internationally recognised organisation is an added

advantage.

Job Knowledge:

i) Experience working on concept, feed, detailed engineering of offshore

substation a must have requirement.

ii) Should have experience in participating various workshops like HAZOP,

SAFOP, HAZID, Risk Evaluation, 3D model review

iii) He/she shall be well familiar with international codes and standards,

materials, specifications, calculations, and datasheets.

iv) Should have handled projects like oil & gas/ petrochemical/power.

v) Knowledge of various tools like AVEVA Engineering, Smart Plant

Instrumentation will be an advantage

vi) Good interpersonal skills, liaising with members of other disciplines and

departments.

vii) Strong working knowledge of many design techniques, analysis methods,

and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards,

codes, and guidelines, including IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI and

the latest scientific and engineering methods

viii) Following Area Expertization is required.

CCTV system (Critical operating points, control room, substations)

Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS)

Package PLC

Erection Hardware (Impulse tubes and fitting, Cable, cable tray,

JB, MCT blocks)

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

Site Acceptance Test (SAT)

New Control room (Marshalling Room (MR), Operator Station Room

(OSR) and Engineering Station Room (ESR))

Data Acquisition system with CPCB & SPCB

Asset management System (AMS)/HMS

Alarm Event and Report Information Management System

(AERIMS) to CLIENT LAN

DCS interfaced to CLIENT intranet.

Key Responsibilities:

He / she shall be able to handle engineering projects (small, medium and big

projects) independently.

Work on onshore and offshore oil & gas projects

Sizing of electrical equipment such as UPS systems, batteries systems.

Review/ preparation of design deliverables such as System Architecture,

Instrument List, IO List, Vendor Documents, cable routing and ladder

rack diagrams, interconnection and wiring diagrams, Bill of Materials,

Relay Coordination, trench layouts, equipment layouts.

Preparation of area classification drawings and selection of Instrument

equipment for hazardous areas.

Responsible for completing the project within the time schedule and

allocated man-hours

Coordination with client, vendor / contractor, issue and follow up of CSS

questionnaire.

Preparation and evaluation of project documentation in addition to

engineering deliverables.

Coordination and follow up of Instrumentation design and engineering

interfaces with other disciplines.
