The

Designing, Costing & Proposal Engineer

will be responsible for designing treatment systems, preparing cost estimates and developing technical proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects. This role requires a strong understanding of process design, cost analysis and proposal preparation to support sales and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering:

Develop & update process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for water treatment systems. Select and size equipment such as pumps, membranes, filters and chemical dosing systems based on project requirements. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, environmental regulations and client specifications. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

Good Knowledge of

water treatment technologies

(RO, UF, MBR, STP, ETP, etc.). Expertise in designing WTPs, WWTPs for Domestic as well as Industrial applications Preparing plant as well as equipment layout for WTP as well as WWTPs Visiting Customers, their engineering team for dito discussment philosophy and provide

solutions as and when need arises.

Cost Estimation & Pricing:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for water, wastewater treatment plants & other plants. Evaluate vendor quotations, material costs and labour charges to ensure competitive pricing. Improve design and equipment selection to balance performance and cost-effectiveness.

Proposal & Documentation:

Develop technical and commercial proposals, including scope of work, specifications and pricing. Prepare bid documents and respond to tenders in collaboration with the sales team. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (procurement, sales and project management) to finalize proposals.

Ensure that the timelines for submitting proposals to clients are adhered to (as per attached annexure).

Client & Vendor Coordination:

Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for equipment selection and cost negotiation. Conduct site visits and assessments when necessary.
