We are looking for a passionate and skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our pizzeria team. The DCDP will assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality pizzas and related dishes, maintaining consistency, hygiene standards, and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present pizzas and related menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the pizza section (dough preparation, topping station, oven operation).
Ensure correct portioning, consistency, and adherence to food safety guidelines.
Monitor stock levels for ingredients, notify for replenishment, and assist in stock rotation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
Train and support Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants in pizza preparation.
Follow health and safety standards including personal hygiene and food safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a pizzeria or Italian restaurant.
Basic knowledge of pizza dough, toppings, oven usage (wood-fired or deck/conveyor ovens).
Understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and allergen awareness.
Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
Strong communication and teamworking skills.
Culinary diploma or equivalent is a plus.
