Job Summary:

The

Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) / Commis I - Continental

is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes within the continental section of the kitchen. The role supports the Chef de Partie and ensures consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in food production, maintaining the 5-star standards of

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook continental dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines. Assist in the daily kitchen operations under the guidance of the CDP or Sous Chef. Ensure all food is prepared, portioned, and presented on time and to hotel standards. Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation in the workstation and storage areas. Monitor and control food waste, portion sizes, and stock rotation (FIFO). Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and raw materials. Follow all food safety, HACCP, and hygiene protocols. Support in menu planning, mise-en-place, and buffet or a la carte service. Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods. Perform other duties assigned by senior chefs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or degree in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts preferred. 3-6 years of experience in a similar role (4/5-star hotel experience preferred). Strong knowledge of continental cuisine and modern cooking techniques. Excellent time management and teamwork skills. Good communication and organizational skills. Passion for food presentation and creativity.
