Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Installing and configuring database management systems (DBMS) like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSql or MS-SQL. Performing regular maintenance tasks, applying patches, and ensuring the database system is up-to-date. Developing and implementing robust backup and data recovery plans to prevent data loss. Implementing and enforcing security controls, managing user accounts, and defining access permissions. Monitoring database performance, diagnosing and resolving performance issues, and optimizing database architecture. Identifying and resolving errors and issues within the database system. Architecting database schema to handle large data sets

Key Skills:

Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and specific database platforms (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MS-SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSql). The ability to diagnose and resolve complex database-related problems. Collaborating effectively with developers, business users, and other IT staff. Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for database configurations, procedures, and designs. Developing scripts and processes to automate repetitive database tasks. Well versed with database migration and data porting across different databases.

Experience Required:
