About Role:


We are seeking an experienced DBA Manager to lead our database administration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Oracle 19c database environments, with proven expertise in performance tuning, scripting, backup and recovery, and managing multitenant architectures. This leadership role requires a hands-on manager who can drive operational excellence, mentor team members, and ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our database systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the database administration team, setting goals, priorities, and development plans. Coordinate delivery of Support Services to meet customer goals and objectives. Oversee installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of Oracle 19c environments. Managing the budget and resources, allocating tasks to team members, and ensuring projects stay on track. Oversee Core DBA activities, upgrades, and installations. Communicating with stakeholders to keep everyone informed about progress Maintaining positive relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Assessing customer feedback and making improvements. Following deadlines and organizing review meetings. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to align database solutions with business needs. Establish and enforce database security, compliance, and disaster recovery best practices. Monitor, analyze, and report database health, ensuring systems meet high availability and performance standards. Provide support for critical database incidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures. Keep up to date with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle 19c database administration. Hands-on expertise in performance tuning and query optimization. Knowledge in scripting languages: Shell, Python, Bash. In-depth experience with patching Oracle databases. Hands-on experience managing Multitenant Architectures (CDB/PDB). Expert-level knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN. Solid understanding of database security practices and standards.
