We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Apache Cassandra and NoSQL databases to manage, optimize, and support highly available, scalable database environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with distributed systems, automation, performance tuning, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Job Requirements
Proven experience as a Database Administrator with hands-on expertise in Cassandra, Redis, MariaDB, and/or MongoDB.
Strong understanding of NoSQL database concepts and distributed systems.
In-depth knowledge of Cassandra architecture, including internals, storage engine, and compaction strategies.
Solid experience working with Linux/Unix environments.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
Strong understanding of replication, consistency models, partitioning, and data distribution.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, OpsCenter, or equivalent.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with DevOps and SRE metrics, including change failure rate, lead time for changes, and automation maturity.
