Skills - DB2 UDB Database Administrator
Notice - Immediate to 15 days
DB2 UDB Database Administrator will be providing technical and operational support for activities of Database Servers, including installation, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, tuning, and optimizing.
Minimum Three (3) years of experience with IBM DB2 9.x up till latest version hosted on AIX and /or Linux platform.
Minimum Three (3) years of experience migrating one flavor of DB into another. Say, SQL Server to DB2, or DB2 to Oracle, or DB2 to cloud platform etc.,
Install, monitor, and maintain DB2 implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes; provide system and SQL performance tuning.
Strong hands-on experience in native DB2 admin commands tools like Application Manager for performance tuning, LOAD command, Data management, Backup & Recovery and Monitoring Tools
Hands-on in any of the Unix/Linux programming languages such as: UNIX shell scripting, Python, or Perl experience
Provide expertise related to DB performance, HA, and scalability.
DR Planning and execution in HA environments.
Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues.
Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
Hands-on knowledge in proactive remediation of database operational problems
Strong Knowledge in IaaS, PaaS cloud database environment and configuration.
DB2 implementation using HADR and HACMP a plus.
Stay current with new database technology developments and techniques, research new software and tools, proactively recommend improvements.
