The Dayforce HCM Lead Implementation Engineer is responsible for the technical delivery of Dayforce Human Capital Management solutions within a retail environment. Full-stack Engineers are capable of being involved in all stages and all areas of software development as well as architecture design, code review, performance evaluation, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.
Drive business outcomes for particular product line.
Adheres to internal best practices and coding conventions to write and execute tests for your own code, including creating comprehensive unit tests.
Lead the technical implementation of Dayforce HCM across retail business units, ensuring alignment with operational and compliance requirements.
Design and configure Dayforce modules including Payroll, Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, and Scheduling.
Develop and manage integrations between Dayforce and third-party systems (e.g., POS, ERP, payroll providers).
Knowledge of Dayforce payroll module functionalities and configuration of it
Oversee data migration activities, including mapping, cleansing, validation, and transformation.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, Finance, and Operations to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Ensure security and compliance with data protection regulations and labor laws.
Support testing cycles, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Provide technical documentation, training, and post-go-live support.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
5+ years of experience in HCM system implementation, with at least 2 years focused on Dayforce.
Strong technical knowledge of Dayforce architecture, APIs, and integration frameworks.
Experience in retail environments with complex scheduling and workforce needs.
Proficiency in SQL, XML, and scripting for data manipulation and integration.
Familiarity with middleware platforms and ETL tools.
Understanding of payroll processing, labor compliance, and time tracking in retail.
