JD - Daycare Preschool Teacher

Reporting to:

Center Manager / Center Head

Purpose of Job

Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for preschool and daycare children.
Ensure their holistic development through structured care routines, learning activities, and effective classroom management in line with the curriculum.

KRA (Key Responsibility Areas)Towards Students

Use a combination of teaching and caregiving techniques to meet learning and developmental objectives. Engage children through play-based and age-appropriate learning activities. Supervise and guide children during classroom time, playtime, meals, and rest time. Maintain hygiene, discipline, and safety standards at all times. Monitor, document, and evaluate each child's growth and development.

Towards Parents

Keep parents informed about their child's progress, behavior, and daily routine. Discuss any concerns or observations related to the child's well-being or learning. Inform parents about daycare schedules, events, and parent meetings. Encourage active parent participation in center activities and feedback sessions.

Towards Management

Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and center events. Maintain daily records including attendance, meal logs, and nap schedules. Support curriculum planning and implement assigned lesson plans. Cooperate with peers and support staff to maintain smooth daycare and classroom operations. Maintain confidentiality of child and family information at all times.

Requirements

Educational Qualification:

Graduate in any discipline. Diploma / Certificate course in Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) / NTT / Montessori preferred.

Years of Experience:

0 - 2 years (or as per competence).

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of child care, preschool education, and safety practices. Ability to manage classroom and daycare environments effectively. Warm, caring, and patient personality with excellent communication skills. Team player with positive attitude and flexibility. Proficient in English communication.
