Hybrid Working We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\'re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date. Introduction No two days in GTIS Service Delivery are the same, so if you thrive on variety and are looking for a new challenge then we have a VP opportunity available - You will be the liaison with USCB and CIB. You will be working closely with various Application leads across these business units. You will be working on the major business initiatives and help design the infrastructure needs to the Applications. What will you be doing . Analyse various new initiatives coming out of USCB and make sure that we have a complete handle on the upcoming Infrastructure needs of each and every initiative . Database design and provide best practices insights . Play key role Tech Debt remediation and upgrades . Database performance analysis and provide recommendations . Communicate both ways - Create and publish documents o USCB Changes and potential impact to GTIS o GTIS initiated changes and potential impact to USCB . Work with Tech Leads and PMs on USCB and GTIS and make sure that all deliveries are on time and handle any potential hiccups What we\'re looking for: . Monitor database (Oracle) capacity to ensure that current sizing is not going to breach limits and act when appropriate . -Create new procedures to accommodate changes to standard database utilities. . -Test database changes and prepare Change documentation to handover to implementation teams. . -Lead in the implementation of complex infra changes, teaching colleagues from own methodologies . -Proactively deliver on all activities and tasks assigned to them within the SLA to avoid any missed deadlines . -Provide in-depth verbal and/or written updates to customers on change progress . -Provide expert guidance on the change process for team and projects . -Takes the lead in complex changes and ensure the more effective resolution is selected to resolve . -Leads in the resolution of complex problems and/or incidents - Design and performance tune DB deployments and network design Good understanding of new GTIS technologies and terminologies . Strong background in Cloud Technologies . Turning business problems into technical design - Expert . Database Certifications and required experience in line with industry standards Skills that will help you in the role: . Good understanding of US Consumer Banking Business .
