Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced

Database Programmer

with strong exposure to

Gen AI integrations

to design and maintain advanced database systems that seamlessly interact with

LLMs, vector databases, and Model Context Protocols (MCPs)

.
You will work closely with

AI engineers, backend teams, and DevOps

to build scalable, AI-ready data platforms powering compliance automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain

AI-integrated database architectures

interfacing with LLMs, MCPs, and vector databases. Build and optimize

PostgreSQL and NoSQL data models

for real-time AI inference and compliance workflows. Architect and manage

context stores and embedding repositories

for Gen AI-driven automation. Develop

data pipelines

to process structured and unstructured financial data for AI reasoning systems. Collaborate with AI and backend teams to enable seamless

context exchange via MCP frameworks

. Develop database orchestration scripts for

automation, versioning, and high-performance queries

. Perform

data integrity checks, performance tuning, and query optimization

across environments. Design and enforce

data lineage, retention, and governance policies

aligned with NZ & AU accounting standards. Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to

AI data security and integration strategies

. Evaluate and recommend

vector DB technologies

(Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus, Weaviate, FAISS) and indexing methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in

Computer Science / Information Systems

or related field.

5+ years

of experience in database programming or database engineering. Advanced expertise in

PostgreSQL

and strong familiarity with

NoSQL databases

(MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra). Hands-on experience with

vector databases

. Strong understanding of

Model Context Protocols (MCPs)

and AI-driven data workflows. Proficiency in

SQL, PL/pgSQL

, and database APIs for LLM integrations. Experience with

ETL pipelines, schema design, data security, and governance

. Familiarity with

Gen AI frameworks

(LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI APIs). Experience building

context caching and retrieval pipelines

for conversational AI. Knowledge of

cloud-native databases

(AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Cosmos DB, GCP Spanner). Exposure to

CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

. Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience with

multi-LLM orchestration / routing

(MoE or hybrid models). Understanding of

financial and accounting data models

(GL, ledgers, trial balance, transactions). Exposure to

NZ & AU accounting compliance

, data privacy standards (GDPR, SOC 2). Python-based AI integrations using

FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, LangChain adapters
