Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Database Engineer / DBA

to design, operate, and scale secure, high-performance

MySQL and PostgreSQL

platforms on

AWS

. The role focuses on automation, reliability, performance tuning, and database scalability while ensuring security and compliance across environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage scalable MySQL and PostgreSQL infrastructure on AWS (RDS and EC2) Drive automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash, Go) Lead database performance tuning across queries, schema, indexing, and systems Plan and execute major database version upgrades with rollback and automation strategies Implement scale-out architectures using replication, sharding, and middleware tools Define data partitioning and archival strategies for performance, cost, and compliance Enforce database security, encryption, access control, and compliance standards Build monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or PMM Handle high-severity incidents, conduct RCAs, and prevent recurrence Mentor engineers and define best practices for database design and operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong expertise in

MySQL and PostgreSQL

administration Hands-on experience with

AWS (RDS, EC2)

Proficiency in

Terraform

and automation scripting Deep knowledge of performance tuning and scalability patterns Experience with replication, sharding, and database middleware Understanding of

SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001

compliance Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ProxySQL, Vitess, or Percona Exposure to high-scale, production database environments Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
