Database Engineer/ Database Administrator

• End-to-end experience with data migration, data validation, data cleansing and data conversion procedures as per design specifications
• Must have strong fundamentals of the following technical skills
  • One or more ETL tools, experience and scripting
  • Technically sound with some of the coding languages commonly used in ETL development like SQL, Java, XML
  • Data warehouse architecture techniques such as EDW, ODS, DM, ROLAP and MOLAP
  • Experience with Modelling tools like Erwin, Toad Data Modeler and Embarcadero
• Plan, analyze and design Data Migration
• Develop, document and validate data migration strategy
• To test data migration, data validation, data cleansing and data conversion procedures as per design specifications
• Optimize database systems for performance efficiency
• To develop a data model and dictionaries
• Identify issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development
• Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects
• Test databases and perform bug fixes
• Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion
• Develop and test extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
• Design and develop Mappings and Sessions based on business user requirements and business rules to load data from source flat files to the target tables
