The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of database systems. The role ensures high availability, data integrity, and optimal performance of mission-critical databases supporting business applications.
Key Responsibilities
Database Management, Security & Maintenance
Install, configure, and upgrade database servers (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Mongo DB (good to have)).
Perform regular health checks, backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
Monitor database performance, tune queries, and optimize indexing for improved efficiency.
Implement data security standards, encryption, and user access control.
Develop and maintain scripts for automated backups, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
Additional Skills: Good to have
Support DevOps or CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
Work closely with application developers, system administrators, and QA teams.
Provide database support during release cycles, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
5-8 years of experience as a DBA.
Strong knowledge of SQL and database optimization.
Experience with replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
Familiarity with Linux/Windows environments, and shell scripting.
