Job Description

Role Summary:Manages Oracle and PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance, availability, security, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:



. Install and configure Oracle and PostgreSQL database software in silent mode.

. Create and manage CDB/Non-CDB databases.

. Administer user access, security policies, and storage structures.

. Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

. Configure PostgreSQL streaming replication and high availability solutions.

. Ensure data consistency across replicas.

. Perform routine maintenance (vacuuming, reindexing, statistics optimization).

. Monitor and optimize query performance, disk usage, and connection limits.

. Apply patches and minor upgrades with minimal downtime.

. Collaborate with application and IT teams on database requirements.

. Provide timely support for database-related issues.



Skills & Qualifications:



. Strong SQL, PL/SQL, PSQL, and PL/pgSQL skills.

. Proficiency in Oracle 19c+ and PostgreSQL 11+ administration.

. Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL tools (OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, pg_dump, pg_restore, pg_basebackup,pg_upgrade & GoldenGate).

. Expertise in Oracle patching, upgrades, partitioning, indexing, and statistics management.

. Solid knowledge of database performance tuning (query optimization, vacuuming, indexing).

. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) preferred.





Eligibility:



. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

. Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Managing On-premises and cloud environments



Proficiency in setting up and managing on-premise databases
