The Database Administrator will manage, optimize, and secure our database systems. The role involves extensive experience in SQL Database Administration (including monitoring, backups, and performance tuning) and MongoDB (preferably), along with a solid understanding of performance monitoring and optimization techniques for databases.
The Database Administrator will ensure the reliability, integrity, and availability of database systems, implement efficient backup and recovery strategies, and monitor performance to ensure smooth operations across various platforms.

Technical - Functional Requirements
SQL Databases: SQL Server, T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Always On Availability Groups, replication, and clustering
MongoDB: MongoDB Atlas, replica sets, sharding, MongoDB backup/restore strategies
Performance Monitoring Tools: SQL Profiler, SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer, MongoDB Monitoring Service (MMS), Nagios, Zabbix, or similar
Backup Tools: SQL Server Backup, MongoDB Backup, Veeam, or other database-specific backup tools
Scripting and Automation: PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation of database tasks
Operating Systems: Windows Server (for SQL Server), Linux (for MongoDB, if applicable)
Education and Certifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Certifications (preferred): Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar SQL certification
