We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to design, manage, and optimize our database systems. The role involves installation, performance tuning, normalization, archiving, and ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
Design and enforce database normalization and data modeling standards.
Implement data archiving, partitioning, and retention policies.
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with best practices.
Manage database backups, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide 24/7 support as needed.
Support developers with schema design, queries, and stored procedures.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
Strong SQL skills and expertise in tuning and optimization.
Knowledge of database design, normalization, and indexing strategies.
Experience with archiving solutions, partitioning, and data lifecycle management.
Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
Understanding of HA/DR solutions (clustering, replication, failover).
Certifications like OCP, Microsoft SQL DBA, PostgreSQL DBA, or MongoDB DBA are a plus.
