We are seeking a motivated Junior Database Administrator to support day-to-day database operations. The role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are looking to build a career in database administration.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring database health, performance, and availability
Support routine DBA activities such as backups, restores, and job monitoring
Assist in user management, access control, and basic security activities
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for database maintenance
Support patching, upgrades, and environment refresh activities under supervision
Monitor alerts, perform initial analysis, and escalate issues as required
Assist in troubleshooting basic database issues
Maintain documentation and update operational records
Coordinate with application and infrastructure and support teams for routine tasks
Required Skills
Basic understanding of database concepts and architecture
Willingness to learn DBA tools and technologies
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to follow processes and work under guidance
