Database Administrator -5 years+-Mohali/Mumbai
Location: Mohali
Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to ensure the integrity, performance, and security of enterprise databases. This role demands strong expertise in database design, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and cloud database services. The selected candidate will play a critical role in database planning, development, and troubleshooting to support business needs.

Responsibilities: * Administer, maintain, and secure company databases.

• Monitor and optimize database performance using tuning and disk optimization techniques.
• Implement data models, database designs, and maintenance scripts.
• Resolve database performance, capacity, and replication issues.
• Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
• Manage database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Install and test upgrades, patches, and maintain database security.
• Automate database processes using scripts (PowerShell/Python/Bash).
• Support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.
• Manage databases in cloud environments (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).

Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in database administration, IT, or database architecture.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Expertise in SQL, query optimization, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Experience in performance monitoring, tuning, replication, and high-availability solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, database security, and user management.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, BI tools, and cloud-based database services.
