We are seeking a skilled and business-savvy Data Translator to bridge the gap between our supply chain operations and data engineering teams. This role will be pivotal in translating complex business needs into actionable data requirements, ensuring that supply chain stakeholders can leverage high-quality data to drive decisions and performance.
What will you be doing?
Strategy
Act as the primary liaison between supply chain stakeholders and data teams, ensuring alignment of data products with operational goals.
Shape the data strategy for supply chain use cases, focusing on critical business outcomes such as inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and supplier performance.
Champion the adoption of data-driven decision-making across supply chain functions.
Design
Translate supply chain business processes and challenges into clear data requirements and use cases.
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and supply chain SMEs to design scalable and efficient data solutions.
Recommend improvements to existing analytics and reporting tools to enhance usability and impact.
Execute & Govern
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of supply chain data products by coordinating with vendor teams and internal stakeholders.
Support the implementation of a Agile model for continuous delivery and improvement of data services.
Oversee the health and performance of supply chain analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Define and validate data requirements, use cases, and testing protocols for supply chain datasets.
Lead efforts to establish robust data quality processes and secure stakeholder sign-off on deliverables.
Communicate & Train
Conduct training sessions and workshops to help supply chain teams understand and utilize data tools effectively.
Develop documentation that explains data lineage, access methods, and business relevance.
Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to ensure transparency and engagement throughout project lifecycles.
What will you need to be successful?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, data engineering, business analytics, information systems, or supply chain management.
Should have a
min of 7-10 years
of
relevant experience in the field of Data and Business Engagement.
Strong understanding of
supply chain processes/domain
and KPIs is needed.
Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate across functions.
Strong understanding of Data Analysis, Business Analysis along with SAP is required.
Experience with
cloud data platform
s (e.g.,
Snowflake, AWS
) and
Data Visualization tools is a plus.
Excellent business communication is needed.
Experience with AI & Data and a thought leadership is advantageous.
