Why we're hiring:
The role is for a mid-level technology and data lawyer based in Mumbai but operating within the small data and technology legal team, which is part of the global WPP Media legal team. This team reports directly into the WPP Media Global General Counsel. This team primarily supports the WPP Media proprietary technology businesses, including WPP's data and technology company 'Choreograph' as well as its newly acquired clean room technology company Infosum. The data and technology legal function also work closely with data governance and privacy teams, as well as product, engineering and strategy teams. This will be a high profile role within the organisation and day to day will be working directly with senior people within the business across North America, EMEA and APAC.
The work will comprise a significant proportion of contract drafting and drafting support to the technology and data functions but will also encompass a significant range of strategic advice to the business on legal issues arising in relation to the development and roll out of our technologies and data usage.
