Job Description

- Develop and implement data models using the Project Haystack methodology. This involves designing and structuring data entities, tags, and relationships to enable semantic interoperability and data integration across building automation systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources into the Project Haystack framework. This includes working with protocols like BACnet, Modbus, OPC, and RESTful APIs to acquire and normalize data. - Design and implement data transformation processes to convert raw data into Project Haystack-compliant formats. This involves applying tagging and semantic markup to data points, enabling contextual understanding and efficient querying. - Set up and manage databases for storing Project Haystack-compliant data. This includes ensuring data quality, performance optimization, and data security. - Develop queries and analytics routines to extract meaningful insights from Project Haystack data. This may involve using tools like Haystack Connect, Haystack Historian, or custom-built analytics solutions. - Integrate Project Haystack data with other building automation and energy management systems. This includes working with protocols and APIs to exchange data and enable interoperability. - Create and maintain documentation related to data modeling, integration processes, and best practices. Conduct training sessions for stakeholders to promote understanding and adoption of Project Haystack principles and techniques. - Conduct testing and quality assurance activities to ensure Project Haystack datas accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Identify and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies. Required Skills & Abilities: - Strong background in Building/HVAC Automation Domain - Strong understanding of the Project Haystack methodology and its applications in the building automation and smart energy domains. - Experience with data modeling and semantic technologies. - Proficiency in working with building automation protocols and systems such as BACnet, Modbus, and OPC. - Familiarity with data integration frameworks, RESTful APIs, and web services. - Experience with data transformation tools and processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. - Attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets. Education & Experience: - Bachelors or masters degree in instrumentation, computer science, information systems, or related fields. - 3-5 Years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. - Relevant certifications in Project Haystack or related technologies are a plus
