Job Title: Data Sourcing / Literature Review Specialist

Job Summary

The Data Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, retrieving, and managing high-quality scientific and clinical data to support research, evidence synthesis, and decision-making processes. The role requires hands-on experience and active access to key bibliographic databases, including

Embase, CINAHL, and the Cochrane Library

.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive literature searches using

Embase, CINAHL, and the Cochrane Library

to support systematic reviews, rapid reviews, and evidence-based projects. Develop and execute structured search strategies, including the use of controlled vocabularies (e.g., MeSH, Emtree) and free-text terms. Ensure accurate data sourcing, screening, and documentation in alignment with internal standards and project requirements. Maintain detailed search logs, source documentation, and audit trails for transparency and reproducibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine research questions and optimize data sourcing strategies. Stay updated on database enhancements, search methodologies, and best practices in literature retrieval. Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and timelines for data sourcing activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in

data sourcing and literature review

within healthcare, life sciences, or research domains.

Hands-on experience and active access

to:

Embase

CINAHL

Cochrane Library

Strong understanding of systematic review methodologies and evidence hierarchies. Ability to critically assess relevance and quality of sourced literature. Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on systematic literature reviews (SLRs), meta-analyses, or health technology assessments (HTAs). Familiarity with PRISMA guidelines and reference management tools (e.g., EndNote, Zotero). Prior experience in a regulated or research-driven environment.
