We are seeking an experienced Data - Site Reliability Engineer who enables developers to build solutions for business expansion while maintaining high availability, and resilience. At Ad Platforms, we achieve this mission through automation, processes and education of partner teams.

Key Qualifications Key Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Hadoop cluster operational experience. More focus on administration activities & automating daily repetitive activities. Experience on Cloudera Hadoop Stack (CDH/CDP) is preferred.
• Proficiency on Linux administration/operations
• Midlevel Python Scripting experience.
• Java application administration knowledge. Like understanding JVM thread dump, heap dump, Java application logs, JVM parameters etc..
• AWS experience specific to EMR, EKS & MSK service including VPC & basic AWS networking skill.
• Terraform automation skill is good to have.
• Good understanding of Kerberos security and implementation of Kerberos on Hadoop.
• Experience in container platforms like Kubernetes, Nomad
• Experience in leading the deep-dive and troubleshooting of production issues with an active diagnostic call.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability utilizing creative and innovating thinking but also adhering to a strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity demonstrated through clear communication.
• Aim to be self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Description Description

- Design and develop tools that will aide in improving reliability of Ad Platforms infrastructure. - Engage with engineering teams to improve on-call efficiencies, drive incident management and post-mortem analysis. - Develop expertise in Apple Infrastructure and standard methodologies and bring that to ad-platforms to run premier distributed systems. - Improve areas like capacity planning, configuration management and monitoring. - Design and improve architectures of new and existing systems based on the principles of reliability, high availability, instrumentation, efficiency, and observability. Design next generation container platforms to run Ad Platform services. Research, Learn, Adopt, Customise, and Create tools to improve the observability, resilience, and usability of Ad Platform systems. Create frameworks that enable engineers to interact with Apple Infrastructure Create robust deployment and delivery pipelines
