Role Overview

The Data Scientist will be responsible for analysing business, sales, marketing, and operational data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making across departments. The role involves working closely with management teams to improve efficiency, performance, and growth using data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in sales, marketing, operations, and customer data. Build predictive and descriptive models to support business decisions. Programming & Database Management Use Advanced Python for data analysis, automation, and model development. Write optimized SQL queries to extract and manage data from databases. Perform data manipulation and reporting using Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).

Data Visualization & Reporting

Design and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Present insights in a clear and visually compelling manner for management. Automate periodic reports for sales performance, revenue, productivity, and KPIs. Business & Cross-Functional Support Work closely with sales, marketing, HR, accounts, and operations teams. Support forecasting, performance tracking, and operational optimization. Translate business requirements into analytical solutions.

Data Governance & Quality

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems. Maintain documentation for data models, reports, and processes. Follow best practices for data security and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn or similar). Good working knowledge of SQL (joins, subqueries, performance optimization). Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Lookups, Dashboards). Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in handling large volume of data. Knowledge of machine learning concepts. Experience with cloud platforms. BSc (Computer Science) or Any degree.
