The objective of the Role:

Run the production environment by monitoring availability and maintaining a holistic view of system health. Develop software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications. Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions. Measure and optimize system performance, aiming to push capabilities forward, anticipate customer needs, and drive continual innovation. Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications.

Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Partner with development teams to enhance services through rigorous testing and release procedures. Participate in system design consulting, manage platforms, and execute capacity planning. Create sustainable systems and services through automation and strategic uplifts. Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives.

Requirements

Proficiency in Python/R, Hadoop, Spark, MySQL; skilled in documentation for reproducibility. Experienced in anomaly detection, machine learning, time-series data, NLP, and various ML tools. Hands-on experience with ETL and dashboarding tools like Domo, Alteryx; knowledgeable in ITSM tools like BMC Remedy. Experienced in Linux data management, JupyterHub, R applications, data science workbench, AI/ML platforms including Kubernetes; CHEF knowledge is beneficial. Expertise in managing data on edge nodes. Knowledge of Airflow is highly valuable for platform automation and process workflows.
