Summary:

UST is looking for Data Scientist Role

The Opportunity:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing data models, building dashboards, and delivering meaningful insights using Power BI. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to track KPIs, analyze large datasets, and present insights that support decision-making. The role demands expertise in Data Science Model development , SQL, and Python, along with strong analytical and visualization skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Understand business requirements in the BI context and translate them into data models. Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Identify KPIs with clear objectives and track them consistently. Analyze large datasets and deliver insights for decision-making. Work with SQL databases for data extraction and transformation. Apply KQL (Kusto Query Language) for querying large-scale datasets. Ensure query optimization, data accuracy, and report reliability. Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis. Exposure to visualization tools like Tableau / Qlik is a plus. Work independently with minimal supervision in time-sensitive environments.

What you need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Data science.*
5-6+ years of experience in Data science and data analytics.*
Strong background in data modeling, transformation, and visualization.*
Experience in SQL and KQL for handling large data queries.*
Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly.*
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail mindset.*
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.*

Required Skills:
Data Science - Model development using Python.*
KQL - Querying large datasets.*
SQL - Database handling and optimization.*
Python - Preferred for data processing.*
Ability to deliver insights and optimize dashboard/report performance.*

Desired Skills:
Experience with other visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik).*
Knowledge of advanced data visualization principles.*
Ability to work in cross-functional teams.*

Qualification:
B.Tech in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / EE or equivalent experience. 5-6+ years of relevant work experience
