The Role: Data Scientist

The Team: We design, develop, and deliver high quality, scalable AI/ML solutions for NRS products. We leverage a combination of opensource and enterprise data science tools & technologies with the latest and greatest the AI industry has to offer to deliver some of the fastest and most utilized AI/ML applications in the financial industry. Duties & accountabilities: -

• Design & Develop AI/ML solutions for business problems using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV) techniques such as named entity recognition (NER), Text Classification, Image Classification and Object detection etc.
• Ownership of the complete model development lifecycle from building the model to deploying it in production including pipeline building, training & evaluation of the models.
• Ownership of maintenance and support issues as they come up during the project lifecycle pre and post go-live. Provide technical assistance to other teams - support, QA, business analysis.
• Ability to work with remote teams in a geographically distributed development model.
• Learn, evaluate, apply & adopt cutting-edge technologies and tools within the Data Science team and across the organization to provide productivity, efficiency, and scalability benefits
• Collaborate and share technical and business knowledge to all stakeholders
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

Education and Experience: -

• B Tech./ M Tech / MCA degree in an IT/ Computer Science or related course is a prerequisite
• 2+ years of data science experience is required.

Technical Skills: -

• Strong computer science fundamentals including Algorithms, Data Structures
• Hands on skills on using Python, Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter, scikit-learn, XGBoost
• Solid understanding of predictive modelling including linear and non-Linear regression, logistic regression, random forest, Ensemble learning, classification, clustering, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, dimensionality reduction, and time series forecasting models.
• Experience using text-embeddings, deep neural networks, CNN, LSTM, Attention
• In depth understanding of transfer learning, hyper-parameter tuning and distributed training
• Experience working with deep learning libraries like TensorFlow/Pytorch and HuggingFace.
• Hands-on with advance NLP techniques including Transformers, BERT etc
• Experience working with structured(tables) and unstructured (text, image) data
• Practical experience with development and deployment on AWS infrastructure
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly in a rapidly changing AI landscape.

• Working knowledge of development tools like Git/GitLab, Terraform
