Job Description



Job Purpose Summary


This role is a key contributor in the are of Data Science in Global HR MIS & Analytics, where the candidate will is proficient in :


  • Implementing and improve existing scientific papers to reach goals defined by senior stakeholders

  • This role will lead a range of data analytics efforts, including monitoring and improving the performance of our Natural Language Understanding (NLU) models

  • Creation of new statistical models, research of new solutions and supporting different stakeholders with initiatives on machine learning and deep learning efforts.

  • Collaborate with technology advisors, business departments (Finance, Audit, Sefvice Delivery, to name a few) & data science lab for substantial outputs

  • Natural Language processing (NLP) is a key part of the role

  • Creation and implementation of new research projects and evangelisation of the research and the results across organisation globally.

  • Collaboration with data science lab colleagues to develop and maintain platform embodying research outputs.


Key Responsibilities


The candidate will be responsible for:


  • Actively contributing to all sub-functions of people analysis during project definitions

  • Deep diving into data, doing analysis and discovering patterns and root causes to generate insights that drive our products

  • Analyse and evaluate the quality and maturity of data used for model training and testing

  • Present proposals and results in a clear manner, backed by data, with actionable conclusions to drive HR Prople decisions to different stakeholders

  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers (internal and external) on data collection and feature design effects from multiple sources

  • Handle competing requests for a range of data consemers from all functional pillars of HR and innovation lab

  • Communicate results to HR Management and Regional HR Heads through a wide range of automated platforms

  • Evangelise the work done in the Global HR MI & Analytics group in internal and external speech opportunities

  • Build and maintain Data Science products \xe2\x80\x93 e.g. web apps for HR (Regional and Global) consumption


Skills & Experience


  • Willing to learn new skills, programming languages and development processes

  • Previous experience with people analys and quantifying data from public and private repositories

  • Experience with descriptive statistics and visualization tools for People Analytics

  • Experience with big data tools (Spark, Databricks) and familiarity/experience with Azure technology stack (Blob Storage, Data lake, VMs).

  • Knowledge of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques in HR

  • Expert in debugging and investigative programming techniques

  • Experience with data selection methods: identify how to choose which data for which experimental setups

  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)

  • Experience with deep learning models

  • Experience in neural networks (including recurrent, convolutional, long short memory)

  • Expert in Python, R, Notebook; command line usage (Bash)

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with significant attention to detail

  • Experience with parallel data processing

  • Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in an agile, dynamic environment

  • Experience with Flask / web development would be beneficial

  • Experience in different facets of HR would be beneficial


Professional Expertise


Qualifications

  • MSc or greater in Data Science, Computer Science, Math or Statistics

  • 3 years + previous experience


Written and Verbal Communications

  • Highly developed written communication skills and capable of producing global and sensitive communications to a varied audience at all levels in both Practice Areas and Business Services.

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communications skills \xe2\x80\x93 some form of customer-facing interaction or consulting experience is a plus.
