Proposed Shift Timing: [Must be able to support team calls from early morning to at least 2:30pm Eastern Time Zone] Responsibilities: The Data Analytics Team within Agribusiness Consulting at S&P Global is seeking candidates with advanced technical skills to assist consultants, developers, and data practitioners in modeling, handling, cleaning, and transforming data. Prospects must have strong python and SQL experience and knowledge of statistics. Familiarity with AWS cloud computing tools will be beneficial. Individuals with some knowledge or experience working in consulting or with agriculture markets in any country are preferred. What We\'re Looking For: Coders who are comfortable assisting consultants, data scientists, and developers with a wide variety of tasks to further the role of data science in producing actionable insights for clients. Maintenance of and improvements to existing data sets and tools Dynamically evaluate model and data quality, automatically cleaning and transforming data Translating feedback from internal and external clients into data and/or tool improvements including new features, streamlined interfaces, and better data sources. QA and maintenance of all associated datasets and pipelines Development Work with clients and colleagues to understand their business objectives. Identify data volume, sourcing, and structuring challenges. Build methodology for achieving the desired output under the project constraints. Build new statistical models, tools, and dashboards to support consulting activity Exploratory Data Analytics Build novel or functional data interfaces and views promote insights for clients Conduct exploratory data analysis (distributions, cleanliness, statistical tests) on large agricultural datasets Basic Qualifications: BA in Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Engineering, Information Science, Economics, or related field (MS preferred) Portfolio of work (git) that demonstrates advanced knowledge of handling, transforming, and modeling data in Python and SQL to produce insight. Advanced knowledge of Python 3 Advanced knowledge of SQL Strong data visualization skills including experience with PowerBI or similar Strong time series data skills including demonstrated experience collecting, cleaning, and transforming large volumes of data efficiently using dataframes Ability to digest a clients\' business requirements and apply your understanding to the data science project Work collaboratively across geographies within agribusiness consulting and with other S&P Global industry analysts or consultants Have an interest in working on projects in various areas of agribusiness and bioenergy Proficiency in written and verbal English Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with or knowledge of agriculture production, trade, and pricing Experience working with Snowflake or another cloud-based relational database tool Experience working with \'big data\' and PySpark Experience working in a consulting environment At S&P Global Platts, we provide the insights you make better informed trading and business decisions with confidence.
