The Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) Program sets forth JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s (JPMC's) second line of defense coverage of compliance, conduct, and operational risk. CCOR establishes policies and standards that set forth the requirements for the Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate Functions regarding the management of compliance, conduct, and operational risk and enables oversight and independent assessment over compliance, conduct, and operational risks inherent within the firm's activities.

CCOR uses the results of risk assessments to identify heightened areas of compliance, conduct, and operational risk to independently monitor the risks and test the effectiveness of controls within the LOBs and Corporate Functions. CCOR informs the firm of compliance, conduct, and operational risk levels and provides associated second line of defense support to all areas of the firm (except Audit). These activities include raising issues for the first line of defense to remediate through action plans and reviewing KRI and KPI thresholds. CCOR leverages a centralized strategy for metrics and dashboard reporting to support these activities.

Organization Description

The Operational Risk Management (ORM) team within Global Data Risk Management is responsible for independently, holistically, and proactively identifying, assessing, and managing operational risks across the Data Assurance Corporate Function. The role will require knowledge of Operational Risk and key risk management skills.

Responsibilities:

Perform both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Mine indicative data sets to identify patterns and relationships that can help detect concentration of data risk, which will help the firm predict future trends, make more-informed business decisions and help determine meaningful second line coverage.

  • Evaluate data finding to determine if they will require escalation to Data Risk Lead(s)
  • May be asked to draw conclusions, and present those conclusions.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess willingness and ability to learn and apply new skills and knowledge on a continuous basis
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office, including Power Point, Excel, and SharePoint,
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical rigor and logical thinking with a continuous process improvement mindset. Ability to synthesize information across multiple platforms, systems, and organizations.
  • Must be highly organized; highly detail-oriented person who is comfortable working both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to work on a hands on basis and not limit oneself to only tracking and reporting milestones.
  • Confident to raise concerns with management team and support resolution.
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills.
