Job Summary



In this role, you will join the Data & Analytics workstream and report to the Global Lead for Data Management & Governance. You will be responsible for defining, operationalizing, and maintaining the enterprise data quality global strategy, framework, business glossary, data classification model, and data protection processes (including masking, redaction, and synthetic data creation). These capabilities are foundational for enabling compliant analytics, secure data sharing, and consistent understanding of business terminology across the organization.




This role requires a blend of business acumen, governance expertise, and structured problem?solving. It is not a technical engineering role--success depends on your ability to translate data governance principles into clear, scalable processes that business stakeholders can understand and adopt. Experience in data management, governance frameworks, and consulting?style process design is essential.




Because you will define enterprise?wide processes and drive adoption across senior stakeholders, including the C?suite, excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills are mandatory.


Your Key Responsibilities



Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Define, implement, and maintain enterprise SOPs and governance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of Sandoz data (Data Quality). Contribute to the continuous development of the data management and governance agenda of Sandoz, aligned with global and local Sandoz priorities. Support the EDMG team with on-demand / ad-hoc emerging and new data management and governance topics Develop and maintain an enterprise Business Glossary for master and transactional data, ensuring standardized business terminology across the organization (e.g. via Databricks, DG tool). Define global data quality metrics, monitor these and take action with business stakeholders to remediate data quality issues and challenges. Define and operationalize the enterprise Data Classification model for datasets and analytics assets, including governance SOPs (or similar documents) to ensure consistent classification (via DG tool). Implement and govern Data Masking and Data Redaction processes that protect sensitive information while ensuring regulatory and policy compliance. Enable and oversee Synthetic Data generation and usage for testing and development, ensuring quality, privacy, and alignment with business needs. Ensure Security and Accessibility measures from ISRM and PDE are embedded by default across all enterprise datasets and analytics models, ensuring appropriate access for authorized users. Lead cross?functional workshops with business stakeholders, STEP stakeholders, ISRM, PDE, platform teams, and analytics squads. Drive adoption of enterprise data quality and protection standards across the STEP program and the broader organization.

Minimum Requirements



What you'll bring to the role:


Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and senior?level communication. Proven project management capabilities. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to lead cross-functional workshops and drive alignment. Strong documentation and organizational skills (PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence). Familiarity with data technologies (Azure, Databricks, Collibra, or similar). Understanding of data and analytics governance frameworks (e.g., FAIR). Pharma industry experience is an advantage. Consulting mindset with strong analytical and structured problem?solving skills, and a proactive, can?do attitude.

Education:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related business field; (Master's degree is preferred)
