Data Governance Advisor - Clients and Accounts Advisory Services, Core
This role will maintain and develop the data governance and management function for the account in the regional context, with tight cooperation with the global structures. This role will be responsible for building a solid and long-term data governance program aimed at reducing organizational risks coming from poor quality real estate data. This position will report to the Regional Data Governance Lead - Clients and Accounts Advisory Service of the CPO's organization in JLLT.
Responsibilities

  • Establishment and ongoing development of Client Account data governance and management framework across service lines to ensure the consistency and integrity of the data
  • Data profiling followed by defining and maintenance of Client Account Data Governance compliance, usage, and quality metrics, and facilitating errors remediation with Data Stewards
  • Master Data Management for critical data elements; maintenance of the key repository involving gatekeeping of standards, and promoting the procedures
  • Daily business communication and relationship building with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to solve ongoing data issues and democratize knowledge on data, including development of mature Data Stewardship program
  • Creation and maintenance of the Data Dictionaries
  • Facilitating meetings with data consumers, data stewards, data producers and other stakeholders to ensure data governance rules and standards are applied to data related changes/ projects
  • Partnering with the IT, BI and service lines counterparts to understand the business context for data management activities
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions regarding data quality and processes
  • Supporting the Account in knowledge management by establishing and documenting data flows and processes

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of data governance / data management related experience in an enterprise environment across multiple application systems and business functions
  • Strong experience in Client Relationship Management
  • Experience in Change Management and business analyst role
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management processes
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy and ability to make effective decisions and solve problems
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle and maintenance processes
  • Good understanding of data quality management (processes and concepts)
  • Knowledge of data governance and how it impacts business processes
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
Skills & Competencies
  • Relationship management skills that include excellent listening and consultative capability, the ability to influence and negotiate with business and technology partners to drive change, and the ability to take a broad perspective and make key connections
  • Demonstrated information management, analytics and data profiling skills. Control, compliance, audit, risk management and relevant experience in risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and remediation will be helpful.
  • Understanding of global organizational design and the ability to shape and drive large-scale, cross-functional programs around people, technology, processes, and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance long-term strategy with quick wins.
  • Demonstrated ability for strategic influencing and education of cross-functional stakeholders about the strategic importance and value of data governance.
  • Experience managing small professional teams and delivering results.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the overall information and analytics space.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong negotiation and group facilitation skills; ability to move a process forward, while meeting the needs of a variety of clients.
  • Ability to work with various levels of peers including analysts, developers and executives regarding complex business and data related issues.
  • Superior project management/ consulting and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex, mission critical projects and to develop, participate in and guide multi-disciplinary work teams. Manage task timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and issues with Global Data Governance.
  • Excellent managerial skills; collaborative, imaginative, resourceful, reliable, technically savvy.
  • Apply listening and consultative skills to understand business needs; be able to interpret requirements, identify impacts and analyze problems to determine impacts to business processes across the organization. Professional consulting skills are desired.
  • Superior ability to manage, manipulate and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using technology. Articulate the issues and resolutions via business-friendly communications. Serve as primary day-to-day contact for regional data management issues.
  • Good understanding of data quality management. Knowledge of data governance and how it impacts business processes.
  • Knowledge of data management in a global environment, including data lifecycle and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines in a multi-tasking production environment to make good judgments about competing priorities.
  • Ability to tell a story to explain or sell a concept. Skills in MS Visio, Word and PowerPoint is a plus.
