Purpose of Job

The Data Product Owner is E2E responsible for the strategy and delivery of the product based on the product roadmap, ensuring the Product delivers the expected business value, throughout the Product lifecycle. The Data Product Owner manages the Product through the product lifecycle in alignment with the Product Area Strategy.

Responsibilities & Outcomes



Understand end-users' needs, and translate them into data product requirements, data use cases, and roadmap strategies for product development. Define and optimize the data product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational ambition, enterprise data architecture, data governance, and analytics priorities. Drive the design, evolution, and adoption of an enterprise-grade data platform that standardizes data models, pipelines, and governance to enable scalable BI, advanced analytics, and AI/ML use cases across the organization. Ensure data-related non-functional requirements (data quality, lineage, availability, performance), security, privacy, and regulatory compliance are met according to relevant data policies, governance frameworks, and processes. Manage data stakeholders and dependencies across business units, Data Engineering, Data Science, IT, and Governance functions. Ensure both a long-term data strategy perspective (target data architecture, semantic models, data domains) and short-term backlog perspective (ingestions, transformations, features) are consistently reflected in data product development. Guide the delivery team in sprint planning, prioritization, and sequencing of user stories, balancing new data features, technical debt, data quality, and governance tasks. Hold end-to-end accountability for data product delivery, including data operations, SLAs, incident management, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. Manage interactions with data and platform service providers, ensuring they deliver on agreed performance levels, data SLAs, and service expectations (contractual or non-contractual). Coach and develop the team members, ensuring it has the right mix of data engineering, analytics, governance, and product skills to execute successfully, while fostering a strong data-driven and product-mindset culture.
