Role summary

Data Processing Technician responsible for 2D model digitisation, including data preprocessing, quality checks, and preparing datasets for further analysis from drone and other geospatial sources.?

Key responsibilities

Preprocess raw geospatial and engineering data (including imagery, CAD, and survey data) for 2D model creation and mapping projects.? Perform quality checks, validation, and cleaning of datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.? Prepare, organise, and document datasets for downstream analysis, modelling, and client deliverables.? Work closely with project engineers, GIS/remote sensing specialists, and field teams to understand data requirements and resolve data issues.? Maintain proper data backup, version control, and metadata for all processed datasets.?
Required qualifications:

Minimum a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or any other engineering discipline, or Geospatial Science/Engineering, or Remote Sensing Engineering, or a related field of science (Mathematics/Physics), or Diploma in Engineering.? Strong understanding of basic GIS/remote sensing or CAD concepts and data formats (raster, vector, CAD drawings, spreadsheets).? Proficiency in using data processing tools such as Excel and at least one GIS/remote sensing/CAD software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, or similar).?
Preferred skills :

Experience working with drone, satellite, or survey datasets for mapping or engineering projects.? Attention to detail, good analytical and problem?solving skills, and ability to follow documented workflows.? Ability to work in a project?based environment and meet delivery timelines with minimal supervision.?
