Position details

BI Developer with hands-on experience in data warehouses and data marts to design and develop Business Reports and Dashboards. Responsibilities include developing processes for aggregating and analyzing data; evaluating data to identify patterns, opportunities, and issues for use in data-driven decision-making; working with engineers and leaders across the bank to design reporting and analytical solutions for data and presentations on a broad range of topics that lay business users can access and navigate with ease.

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform data preparation work (e.g., source, scrub, mine, and integrate relevant data sources) needed for the delivery of BI and data visualization solutions as directed

Proactively identify and address BI needs to meet business needs while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements

Work on end-to-end Business Intelligence Solutions using Tableau, Business Objects, AWS, SQL, Python, Autosys, etc.

Contribute to implementation and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational efficiency

Provide support to convert ideas and business needs into meaningful report/dashboard designs and data requirements

Support the partnership with business stakeholders to streamline and automate existing reporting, crucial for meeting regulatory and compliance requirements

Support the development of new metrics or metric modifications per business needs

Assist with identifying new approaches to complex design problems related to BI and advanced data visualization

Provide additional support beyond office hours, occasionally, for planned migrations and implementations, as needed by the project/team

Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale business intelligence (BI) and data visualization programs using Enterprise Dashboard and Reporting Platforms such as Tableau, Business Objects, etc.
• Experience in highly distributed complex business and technology environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical designs and terminologies into simplified business language.
• Experience in wide range of analytics, BI and big data technologies, and performance tuning.
• Experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Exposure to AWS or other big data and cloud computing technology is a plus.
• Proven track record working with technical, customer, and functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that require superior project management and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills.
