We are looking for a Data Owner to join our Metals & Mining Data team. This opportunity will help shape our Roadmap, work with our expert Data, Engineering and Research talent to deliver new Insight and Analytics. We are looking for someone with a Product focus and experience of developing talent, this exciting role will drive transformation within our business. The successful candidate for this role must have a strong Data background and understand the challenges of building a modern data centric business with a commitment to incremental delivery. Proven experience of data transformation projects, and the ability to articulate ideas effectively across all business areas is essential. Main Responsibilities Together with Data and Product agree the best approach to deliver our data roadmap and vision Assists in the application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets. Lead and manage data transformation projects Ensure data quality, compliance and consistency of data across business systems. Ensure the design and implementation of connected, scalable data pipelines in-line with our Engineering principles and Data architecture Deliver industry leading data tools/frameworks to enable efficient Analytics and Insight Automate priority workflows, ETL and deliver efficiencies through connected datasets and integrated pipelines Work cross-functionally across lines of business to ensure their domain\'s data is managed and understood Driving end-to-end the cleansing, maintenance, and governance of data by defining data standards for creation, completeness, and accuracy for attributes Identify opportunities for the use of data science and machine learning Foster an agile, high-performance and collaborative culture Create documentation to provide clear understanding of processes and enable migration from legacy systems Monitor SLAs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Master Data processes and workflows Ensure teamwork and collaboration across data domains, business units, stakeholders, and support organizations. Support the recruitment and development of the right people that will deliver our Data Vision and the commercial success of our business Assist analysts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation. Qualifications Strong technical foundation with proven experience in delivering data transformation projects and advanced analytics Experience with leading, coaching and mentoring individuals and teams through change Experience in data governance, data quality management & related business processes Hands on expertise with agile methodologies, product delivery and data analysis Expert level knowledge in Python, SQL and strong understanding of AWS Familiarity with data architecture, design patterns and stream processing technologies Excellent stakeholder, project management and communication skills Solid experience of data modelling techniques and exploitation and BI tools Expectations We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
