We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller with a strong background in designing and implementing data models for healthcare and medical systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structuring complex datasets such as patient histories, diagnostic test results, imaging scans, and clinical workflows, ensuring compliance with global health data standards. This role will focus on building scalable, secure, and interoperable data models optimised for Databricks environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Develop Data Models:
Create logical and physical data models for healthcare systems, covering patient records, test results, imaging data, and treatment histories.
Ensure Standards Compliance:
Align data models with global healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, and SNOMED CT for interoperability and regulatory compliance.
Databricks Implementation:
Build and optimise data models for Databricks Lakehouse architecture, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of large-scale healthcare datasets.
Data Governance & Security:
Implement robust data governance practices, including privacy, security, and compliance with HIPAA and GDPR.
Collaboration:
Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and healthcare domain experts to ensure models meet clinical and analytical requirements.
Performance Optimisation:
Tune data models for scalability and performance in distributed environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
Strong experience in data modelling for healthcare or medical systems.
Proficiency in Databricks, Spark, and SQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Healthcare Standards Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED CT.
Understanding of healthcare workflows and interoperability requirements.
Data Architecture:
Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
Compliance & Security:
Knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, and other healthcare data regulations.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with machine learning pipelines in healthcare analytics.
Familiarity with medical imaging standards (DICOM).
Certification in Databricks or Azure Data Engineer.
