Role description

Key Responsibilities: o Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business requirements. o Use data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner, dbt, Lucidchart, SQL DB tools) to create and maintain models. o Collaborate with data engineers and DBAs to implement and optimize data structures in various databases (RDBMS, cloud data warehouses). o Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and metadata documentation. o Review and optimize existing data models for scalability, performance, and consistency. o Translate business needs into high-quality data structures supporting analytics, reporting, and integration projects. o Support ETL and data pipeline teams by providing model-level design inputs. o Partner with data governance and quality teams to ensure compliance with data standards. ________________________________________


Technical Skills Required: o Strong experience in data modeling tools such as: o Erwin Data Modeler, SAP PowerDesigner, IBM Data Architect, or dbt (data build tool) o Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Snowflake). o Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, DataStage, or Azure Data Factory). o Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, fact/dimension design). o Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake). o Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and master data principles. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: o Exposure to modern data stack: dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, or Looker. o Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for data validation. o Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. o Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
