Data Manager



Mid-to-senior level Data Manager with 4-8 years of experience

Location: Goregaon, Mumbai



The Data Manager will be responsible for the governance, quality, and integrity of all enterprise data across the organization, with a primary focus on the manufacturing-to-sales lifecycle. This role will be crucial in moving the company from time-to-time manual data collection to a standardized, verified, and centralized data environment.

1. Data Collection & Standardization (Timeliness Focus)

Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data input across all departments (Design, Procurement, Production/WIP, Inventory, Sales, and Finance).

Define a company-wide Data Dictionary to standardize how critical metrics (e.g., Yield Rate, Units Produced, Gross Margin, SKU) are measured and recorded.

Implement data collection schedules and automated processes (ETL) to ensure data is fed into the central repository in a timely manner.

2. Data Quality & Verification (Verification Focus)

Lead the effort to develop and maintain the overall Data Quality Framework.

Design and execute routine Data Audits and reconciliation procedures, specifically reconciling data between:

Production vs. Inventory: Ensuring units completed match units received into the finished goods warehouse.



Inventory vs. Sales: Validating stock depletion matches sales recorded at the POS or e-commerce platform.

Proactively identify and resolve data integrity issues, such as duplicate records, incomplete entries, or format inconsistencies.

3. Data Infrastructure & Governance

Manage the architecture and flow of data between core systems (ERP, Inventory Management, CRM, etc.) to a central data warehouse or reporting tool.

Establish Data Governance policies, including data ownership, access control, and security standards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Data Manager



These are the metrics you should use to measure the success of this role:

1. Data Accuracy Rate (%): The percentage of core business records (e.g., inventory counts, sales transaction totals) that pass automated and manual quality checks. Target: > 95%

2. Data Timeliness Index (%): The percentage of required data sets submitted or updated according to the established daily/weekly SOP deadline. Target: > 98%

3. Data Issue Resolution Time (Hours): The average time taken from identifying a critical data discrepancy to its final resolution and root cause analysis.

4. Data Governance Score: The completion rate of standardized documentation (Data Dictionary, Data Ownership Matrix).

Qualifications



Education: Bachelor's (minimum) or Master's in a quantitative field (CS, IT, Statistics, Engineering). Must-Have Technical Skills:
SQL proficiency (critical for verification and extraction).

Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing context.

Strong understanding of Data Modelling and database concepts.

Must-Have Soft Skills:
Excellent Communication and Diplomacy (to enforce data standards across departments).

Strong Process Orientation and attention to detail (for SOPs and verification).

Problem-Solving ability (to find root causes of data discrepancies).

Pay: ?700,000.00 - ?900,000.00 per year
